Tourism development impacts host communities, industries, visitors, and the environment. This year the 2017 Lake County Annual Meeting focus’ on three of these four tourism impacts; the host community(s), the visitor, and the (music/education) industry; to create an opportunity for the musicians of Lake County to take center-stage within the world of music education.
The Lake County Visitors Bureau is proud to welcome Mark Wood; the Les Paul of Electric Violin, Grammy Award Winner, the World’s Premier Electric Violinist, Co-Founder Trans-Siberian Orchestra, maker of Wood Violins, and the Energy behind Electrify Your Strings! Mark is here to perform and present his Electrify Your Strings program (15 years strong) and his passion and importance for saving school music programs… one note at a time.
Across America and beyond, music and music based events are increasing by the numbers. Civic leaders (and Destination Marketing Organizations) have recognized the economic importance of these events. Studies have shown that a key driver for attending music events is socializing with friends and family. Notwithstanding experiencing something new or familiar.
Through continued collaborative efforts, the Lake County Visitors Bureau supports the planning and sustainability of such events for generations young and old - and host communities far and wide.
The Lake County Visitors Bureau also welcomes Ken Howard of Doc Howard’s Distillery to the stage… and sampling bar.
